Welcome to Glasgow Archers

GA was formed in 1948 and has catered, since then, for archers of all abilities and styles (except crossbow). The club has grown steadily through the years and currently has in excess of 70 members.

From beginners to internationally competitive archers, the majority of archery abilities, styles and bow types are present and actively encouraged. Coaching and mentoring are hugely important to us with our more experienced members assisting beginners as they progress. Glasgow Archers is also honoured to have county coach David Hutton as our lead coach.

We shoot on Wednesdays from 6:00pm and Sundays from 9:45am (ish).

Glasgow Archers is a closed members club so do not provide taster or trial sessions.

Members should be aware that Sunday shooting is weather dependent and dependent on keyholders being present. See article on the menu bar left for more details.

Each year the 2 day Glasgow Open competition is hosted by us at our splendid outdoor shooting grounds at Craigholme School playing fields.

During the 2010/11 winter season we moved to an exciting new location for indoor practice and competitive shoots/postal leagues - Craigholme Sports Hall.

Having our indoor and outdoor fields combined at one location has opened up new and exciting opportunities for us allowing the staging of events for club members, fellow archers and guests. Directions and times are available in the Find Us section.

Please browse our site via the links on the left and drop by the Forum and our Facebook pages!

Take a look at the Club News and Forum Announcements regularly as we will be updating these as often as we can but any major new items will be announced on the forum. Also check out the Information menu (see the menu bar on the left of the screen) as our resident archery geek will be offering various articles and advice for member's perusal.

Happy shooting!
